PTFS Announces Availability of Knowvation GS Listed on AWS Marketplace for the U.S. Intelligence Community

New York – September 13, 2016 – Progressive Technology Federal Systems Inc. (PTFS), provider of Knowvation, an Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS) suite, today announced being listed on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace for the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC). AWS Marketplace for the U.S. IC is designed exclusively for the 17 intelligence agencies to evaluate, purchase, and deploy in minutes via 1-Click® a broad array of common software infrastructure, developer tools, and business software products, with the categories of products and vendors growing over time. PTFS made their Knowvation GS geospatial application available on the AWS Marketplace for the U.S. IC.

Knowvation GS is a web-based geospatial content management system (GeoCMS) that provides a platform for Object Based Production (OBP), Activity based Intelligence (ABI) and analytics. The product provides search and discovery and manages structured and unstructured content, including born-digital and digitized files, across multiple repositories in the enterprise. Fully modular, Knowvation GS enables users to interrogate and retrieve content by searching on geospatial parameters, metadata, and/or full text of unstructured data. Searchable content includes raster/vector geospatial files, documents, books, newspapers, video, audio, photographs and other files in all formats.

The AWS IC Marketplace enables customers to compare options, read reviews, and quickly find the software they want. Visitors seeking Knowvation GS on the AWS IC Marketplace can purchase and launch Knowvation GS with 1-Click®, Knowvation GS will then be available for consumption on a subscription basis.

“AWS Marketplace for the U.S. IC provides flexibility to our customers by closely matching usage requirements and the speed with which customers now need to move to grow and manage their business,” said Dan Quinn, PTFS Vice President. “Instead of a rigid perpetual license model and investing months of time, AWS Marketplace for the U.S. IC users can purchase and deploy our software in minutes.”

Knowvation GS users can perform geospatial searches on big data archives containing more than 200 different file formats and product types. Knowvation GS indexes content in other repositories, and enables full text searching of that content in situ. Format-agnostic geospatial queries are initiated by typing a word/phrase, entering latitude/longitude coordinates or drawing a polygon on a map interface.

PTFS is also a member of the AWS Partner Network (APN). Membership enables PTFS to tap technical resources from AWS to expand its use of the AWS Cloud – both for development purposes and as an additional cloud option for customers.
