North Bethesda, MD-December 19, 2012- PTFS is announcing the introduction of ArchivalWare Approval Workflow, a Java Business Process Management (jBPM) module, to ArchivalWare. Through seamless direct integration with Microsoft Office, users can directly participate in content approval workflow, which allows for ArchivalWare to ingest draft documents and files. Whereas ArchivalWare had not been capable of managing the workflow associated with the lifecycle of a document, the new module now allows ArchivalWare to incorporate drafts which are subject to a workflow process for completion and approval. North Bethesda- Dan Quinn presented PTFS’ semi-automated declassification application, ArchivalWare GS, along with metrics from the Air Force Declassification project to the External Referral Working Group (ERWG). Approximately 150 ERWG members attended the February 15th presentation at NARA in College Park, Maryland. ERWG is a group of government representatives from agencies involved with declassification who regularly meet to collaborate about declassification initiatives. The U.S. Government Printing Office’s (GPO) released online recordings of radio traffic aboard Air Force One in the wake of President Kennedy’s assassination. These audio recordings were the first to be placed in FDsys, which is already well known for its text based content. Federal Digital System (FDsys) is the Government Printing Office’s advanced digital system for managing government publications and documents. One component of FDsys is a powerful online tool that provides public access to authoritative Federal information.
