About Me
Sharon Lewis, PTFS’ Director of Human Resources, brings more than 30 years’ experience in corporate human capital management in the private sector supporting technology, research & development, non-profit, and the government contracting industry. She has held assignments with non-profits as well as for profit organizations, leading the human resources, contracts and program management activities, and has been instrumental in rolling out continuous process improvement initiatives in the software engineering industry.
She previously served as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) under the guidance for the Defense Security Service and now serves as the Alternate FSO, supporting security compliance.
Sharon has a deep knowledge of HR practice to include employee relations, performance, compensation and benefits, development and compliance, and her career has been primarily focused on aligning and optimizing human resources programs, leadership coaching and development, driving employee engagement and ultimately, customer success. Sharon has many years of HR compliance expertise at the federal level, across several states and Canada.
She supports talent acquisition and works with Business Development teams to define personnel requirements, market value compensation and challenges in sourcing in response to task orders, RFQs and RFPs. Sharon coordinates full life cycle recruiting for major projects, as well as close collaboration with partners and Intel clients with onboarding and processing new staff.
Sharon holds a MSc. in Human Resource Management from American University, and a B.A. in Management Studies from the University of Maryland, University College. She is a member of Society for Human Resource Management, holding their designation as a Senior Certified Professional SHRM-SCP, and is a certified Senior Professional (SPHR) in Human Resources via the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI).
