The Washington Post outlined The Government Accountability Office’s recent audits of the National Archives. The National Archives awarded a $317 million contract to Lockheed Martin Corp. six years ago to create a modern archive for electronic records. The article titled “Costs Soaring for Archives’ Digital Library, Auditors Say”, outlines issues with The Archives’ largest and most complex capital project ever. Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) created an excellent short video to help their staff quickly learn the essentials for using Knowvation to search and discover content across the enterprise. UDOT deployed Knowvation as their enterprise search tool to as an interface for a myriad of structured and unstructured content repositories (e.g. Esri, ProjectWise, Oracle DB, SharePoint, and others). Now UDOT staff can use full text, geospatial, and metadata search techniques to locate relevant data across the enterprise regardless of its location.
