PTFS Wins the ABMC Electronic Burial and Memorialization System Contract
We’re excited to announce Knowvation has been chosen for the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) Electronic Burial and Memorialization System! The American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC), who is responsible for maintaining and honoring the memory of American military personnel who served and sacrificed overseas, has set forth stringent requirements for the digitization, metadata capture, and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) of various materials from its cemetery sites and collections. These include the Paris Overseas Office (OO), Sicily-Rome American Cemetery (SRAC), and Florence American Cemetery (FLAC). The project’s primary objectives are to ensure item-level digitization, comprehensive metadata capture, and Section 508 compliance for all digitized records.
